Event Details
Grande Illumination
Thanksgiving weekend at Courthouse Square, Dayton. The annual tree lighting ceremony featuring Santa, carolers, hot cocoa, and community celebration. Our highest-visibility public event.
Santa Training Workshop
September–October in Centerville. Annual training for new and returning Santas. Topics include working with special needs children, hospital protocols, photography, and character development. Open to all Santa Community members.
Gift Wrapping Station
December 1–24 at Fairfield Commons or Dayton Mall. Volunteer-staffed wrapping station where shoppers can have gifts wrapped for a donation. All proceeds fund charitable programs.
Breakfast with Santa
Early December at a local venue. Families pay $10–15/child for pancakes, crafts, and a photo with Santa. A proven fundraiser that doubles as a beloved community tradition.
Adopt-a-Family Delivery Day
Mid-December. Our signature event — Santa personally delivers gifts to verified families in need. Donors match with families and provide wish list items. Volunteers shop, wrap, and assist with delivery logistics.
Hospital & Senior Center Visits
The week before Christmas. Santa and volunteers visit Dayton Children's Hospital, senior living centers, and shelters to bring gifts, comfort, and connection to those spending the holidays in care.
Year-Round Activities
We're not just seasonal. The foundation maintains year-round engagement:
- Volunteer visits to senior centers, hospitals, and shelters (non-Santa themed)
- Back-to-school and summer supply drives — "Santa remembers your family in August too"
- Santa training and community networking events
- Letters from Santa (birthday letters, year-round)
